What is this?
When you need a hand, our team can securely see — and, with your go-ahead, control — your computer, as if we were sitting right beside you. It is the quickest way for us to fix a problem, change a setting, or simply show you how something works.
Langesville uses a self-hosted support platform built on open-source tools (Tactical RMM with MeshCentral). The pieces that matter to you: a small support agent runs on your computer, and a Langesville technician connects to it only when you ask for help.
How a support session works
Call or message your technician
Start with a phone call or message to the Langesville help desk. We prepare a support agent installer specifically for your machine and email or text you the download link.
Install the support agent
Open the link, run the installer, and accept the Windows admin prompt. The agent registers your computer with our support desk — one quick install, then it is ready any time you need help.
We connect — with your approval
When you call again, your technician requests a remote session through the agent. The first time, your computer asks you to allow it. Nothing happens until you say yes.
You stay in control
You watch the whole session live. Tell the technician to disconnect, or sign out, and remote access ends immediately.
Your privacy & safety
- You ask, we connect. Sessions begin only when you contact Langesville and a technician initiates the connection. We do not browse for machines to log into.
- The whole stack is ours. Your support agent reports only to a server we run, in our own home lab. No third-party SaaS company sees your machine.
- Encrypted end to end. The connection between your computer and the Langesville server is private and TLS-encrypted from start to finish.
- You can uninstall any time. The support agent appears in Windows Add or remove programs as Tactical RMM Agent. Removing it severs every link back to us.
- No surprise sessions. A Langesville technician will never ask to remote in unprompted. If something feels off, hang up and call us back on a number you trust.
Before your session
A few small things make the call go smoothly:
- Be on the phone (or messaging) with your technician when you install the agent.
- Close anything private you would rather not have on screen.
- Save your work in any open documents.
- Stay on the line — your technician will guide you through every step.
